Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 12 hours. Stratification: cold stratify for 90 days. Germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed. Other: 60 days cold strat may be enough.
An unusual tree in that it has a high content of latex in the leaves and stems. The shiny dark green leaves are shaped like elm leaves; reported to be tolerant of urban conditions and easy to transplant. A rounded to broad spreading tree of uniform outline at maturity.
