Lettuce - Romaine / COS - Rouge D'Hiver Rouge D’Hiver European romaine lettuce is hardy against cold weather, but doesn't do as well in extreme heat. Leaves are green to deep red with an overall red-bronze color. They have a smooth shiny texture. Heads grow 10-12” tall and produce high yields. Sow seeds indoors or directly, being sure to give plants full sun exposure when transplanting or thinning. Baby lettuce can be harvested after 25-30 days, while full leaves are ready for harvest after 55-65 days. If harvesting a full head, leave 1” in soil for regrowth.
